Police officers from Wielkopolska detained two men who were supposed to blow up an ATM in Kwilicz. The explosion also destroyed part of the building and caused a fire. Both suspects have had criminal prosecutions in the past. This time they face up to 10 years in prison.
The arrest took place on Thursday in the Lubuskie Voivodeship. Police officers from Opole and Gorzów Wielkopolski also took part in the arrest of two men suspected of being involved in blowing up an ATM.
For a week, policemen from Wielkopolska have been working on the case of the explosion of an ATM in Kwilicz. The incident took place on Thursday, September 23. – The force of the explosion was so great that the building in which the ATM was located was significantly damaged. In addition, the explosion led to a fire in the building and a car parked nearby – says Andrzej Borowiak, spokesman for the Greater Poland Police. Due to the great damage, the perpetrators did not manage to take money from the ATM.
They heard the accusations
The officers selected two suspects. They are residents of the Lubuskie voivodship who have been punished before. – After reviewing the evidence, the prosecutor of the Investigation Department of the District Prosecutor’s Office in Poznań issued an arrest warrant. Both suspects heard allegations of attempted burglary, the theft of money and property damage. At the request of the prosecutor, the court arrested the suspects – adds Borowiak.
