A 26-year-old from Lachów near Kolno (Podlaskie Province) is expected to face murder charges after allegedly stabbing his 50-year-old uncle. The prosecutor's office reports that the man's body had several wounds around the face and neck. The suspect and the victim lived in the same house.
The tragedy occurred on Tuesday (September 10) afternoon in the village of Lachowo near Kolno. The body of a 50-year-old man was found in one of the houses.
– Several dozen wounds were found on his body around the face and neck – says Marcin Gajdamowicz, head of the District Prosecutor's Office in Kolno.
The suspect was arrested by the police. He was drunk
The police arrested the man's 26-year-old nephew that same day. He was drunk.
– They lived in the same building. The suspect and his family were upstairs, and the 50-year-old was downstairs. The body was found by the 26-year-old's mother (i.e. the 50-year-old's sister – editor's note) – says the prosecutor.
The knife was found the next day.
Details are being clarified. – The police found the knife the next day. It was lost or abandoned on the property adjacent to the one where the house in question stands – emphasizes Gajdamowicz.
The knife was sent for tests. The 50-year-old's body was sent for an autopsy. The 26-year-old is expected to hear the murder charge today. He faces a life sentence.
