Price dispute

The judgment concerns the decision of 2020. At that time, the President of UOKiK Tomasz Chróstny decided that the activities of Jeronimo Martins Polska in the field of displaying prices constitute a practice that violates the collective interests of consumers.

“The court agreed with the President of UOKiK that it is unacceptable to charge consumers a price higher than that visible on the product, and it is the company’s duty to correctly mark all products on the shelf with the price. It also fully upheld the fine of PLN 115 million. The judgment is final and binding,” the court wrote.

We asked representatives of Jeronimo Martins Polska to send their position on this matter. However, until the publication of the article, we have not received a response.
