Police officers patrolling the area of ​​Lake Tarnobrzeskie (Podkarpackie Voivodeship) inspected a passenger car driven by a resident of Płock. It turned out that the 46-year-old was intoxicated, and his passenger was wanted to serve a prison sentence.

Police officers smelled alcohol from the driver of the Renault. The examination showed that the man had more than two per mille in the exhaled air. The 46-year-old stated that he had come to Lake Tarnobrzeskie with his friend to rest.

In addition, during the check in the police database, it turned out that he also has a ban on driving any motor vehicles from 2022 for a period of three years issued by the District Court in Płock.

Passenger wanted

The Renault passenger was also in trouble. It turned out that a 36-year-old man is wanted by the justice system.

– On the basis of an order issued by the District Court in Płock, he was to be sent to a penitentiary facility to serve a prison sentence. The 36-year-old was drunk, the test showed more than 4 per mille of alcohol in his system. Both men were detained – said the press officer of the Tarnobrzeg police, podinsp. Beata Jędrzejewska-Wrona

And she added that the 46-year-old driver of the Renault was charged with driving while intoxicated and violating a court driving ban, while his passenger was sent to prison, where he will spend the next two months.

The police remind you that pursuant to art. 178a § 4 of the Penal Code, anyone who commits an offense and has previously been convicted of driving a motor vehicle while intoxicated or under the influence of drugs is subject to imprisonment from 3 months to 5 years.
