Pepper spray was used at the School Complex in Wysoka near Łańcut. Firefighters from the State Fire Service in Łańcut reported that three students were taken to hospital for detailed examination. The police are handling the case.
Firefighters were notified of the pepper spray explosion before 2 p.m.
At the scene, they determined that pepper spray had been released by a student in a first-floor bathroom. “The substance spread into the hallway, irritating nine girls who were escorted outside the building by school staff,” firefighters wrote on social media.
Rescuers checked the room where the gas was released and the entire corridor on the first floor of the building and found no threat.
Three girls were taken to hospital for detailed tests. Another six students who were injured were left in the care of their teachers and were picked up by their guardians.
The police are investigating the case of gassing.
