Łany near Wrocław. A man's body was fished out of the Odra River

The fisherman noticed a human body floating in the water and notified the services. The identity of the deceased is not known yet.

On Saturday, around 11:45, WOPR rescuers received information about a body on one of the banks of the Oder in the town of Łany near Wrocław. “At the scene, in the water near a tree branch, there was the body of an approximately 35-year-old man,” reported the Lower Silesian Water Rescue Service.

The body was recovered from the river by water rescuers. The prosecutor and the police worked on site.

– The fisherman noticed that the man was floating in the water and notified the police. The body was found in the river near ul. Królewiecka in Łany. The man did not have anything on him that would help identify him. By the prosecutor's decision, the body was sent to the forensic medicine facility to clarify the causes of death – said Commissioner Wojciech Jabłoński from the Municipal Police Headquarters in Wrocław.
