Lech Poznan has started the Ekstraklasa season brilliantly. After nine rounds, it is the leader of the table, and the new coach of “Kolejorz” Niels Frederiksen has immediately won over the PoznaĆ stands. The Dane has already won seven matches and his team is becoming a candidate for the title. It is already known that one of the central defenders will not help in the potential fight for supremacy.
“Filip Szymczak's goal gave the team Poznan a well-deserved 1:0 victory over ĆlÄ sk WrocĆaw. Lech thus strengthened its position as the leader of the table, while the Polish vice-champions remained the only team in the Ekstraklasa without a win this season and dropped to last place” – This is how Sport.pl journalist Bartosz KrĂłlikowski reported the last league match of the PoznaĆ team straight from the stadium.
Defender leaves Lech. They issued a statement
In this meeting – as in the previous ones matches – Lech's center-back duo was formed by Alex Douglas and Antonio MiliÄ. Bartosz Salamon remains in reserve, but Miha Blazic is no longer in the club. The Slovenian is swapping Ekstraklasa for the distant United Arab Emirates.
“On Sunday, the Slovenian representative flew to the United Arab Emirates for medical tests and after passing them, he signed a contract with Al Ittihad Kalba Club. He is moving there on a permanent transfer from Lech” – we read in the official statement of the club, which thanks the player for representing its colors and wishes good luck in his further career.
Will Lech's defense suffer with Blazic's departure? He has been losing to his teammates recently, and without him the defense has been flawless. Suffice it to say that Bartosz Mrozek hasn't let up since August 3rd. That's when Lechia GdaĆsk player Karl Wendt found his net.
The Slovenian joined Lech a year ago. During that time he has played 30 games for the club. matches and scored one goal in them. In August last year, he scored in a 1-1 draw with ZagĆÄbie Lubin.
