On Saturday, a police motorcyclist riding in a column collided with a Volkswagen Polo passenger car on the opposite lane in Łazany in the Wieliczka poviat (Małopolska). A passenger in the car was injured in the accident.
Police: an officer passed a vehicle that did not respect the right of way of the column
As reported by sub-inspector Katarzyna Cisło from the press team of the Lesser Poland police, the collision occurred when a police column consisting of two police cars and eight motorcycles riding between them was passing on light and sound signals along the provincial road running through this town.
According to the reports of the police officers riding in the column, at some point the last of the motorcyclists, wanting to pass the vehicle that did not respect the priority of the column, drove to the opposite lane and hit the side of the Volkswagen Polo located there.
The passenger in that car was taken by ambulance to the hospital for observation. The police motorcyclist also complained of minor ailments. Katarzyna Cisło informed that the police are explaining the causes and circumstances of this road accident.
