21-year-old Pablo Torre is one of the most interesting young central midfielders in Europe. He has been in for two years FC Barcelonabut he spent last season on loan at Girona. There he played 29 games, scored a goal and had two assists. He is unlucky because there is huge competition in FC Barcelona's midfield. Apart from him, Pedri, Marc Casado, Gavi, Dani can play in this position OlmaFrenkie de Jong and Fermin Lopez.
Pablo Torre praises coach Hansi Flick's approach to players
With such competition, Pablo Torre rarely gets a chance. This season he played in six matches, but only in three in the starting lineup. The footballer doesn't complain. On the contrary – he highly praises coach Hansi Flick and his approach to the players.
– I think that from the outside Hansi Flick looks like a very serious guy, but he is the complete opposite. The coach is very sensitive towards those who play regularly and those who play less often. We have a very healthy relationship in the locker room, there is a lot of respect on both sides. This is reflected on the pitch. We feel great, Torre said.
He also recalled a story from the Champions League match against Red Star, in which Torre was already getting ready to enter the pitch, but ultimately did not appear on it.
– My relationship with coach Flick is very good. He wants us all to stay focused. Once, in a Champions League match, I was supposed to come on, but Pau Cubarsi got injured and there was another change. Flick explained that there was nothing else he could have done. I told him that nothing was happening because the team was the most important thing, added Torre.
FC Barcelona is the leader with 33 points in 13 games La Liga. He is six points ahead of the runner-up and defender of the trophy – Real Madridwho has one outstanding game (away against Valencia).
In the next round, after the international break, Flick's team will face Celta Vigo away (Saturday, November 23, 9 p.m.). Live coverage of this duel on Sport.pl and in the Sport.pl LIVE mobile application.
