A young driver ran down a 66-year-old woman at a pedestrian crossing in Lębork (Pomerania). He probably did not give way to her priority. He has a driving license from May.
We received information on Kontakt 24 about hitting a pedestrian on the lanes in Lębork on Okrzei Street. As we were told by the aspirant Marta Szałkowska from the County Police Headquarters in Lębork, the incident took place around 11 on Okrzei Street.
– The preliminary findings of the policemen show that the 18-year-old driver of the Opel Corsa did not give priority to a correctly walking pedestrian at a pedestrian crossing. The victim is a 66-year-old woman, a resident of Lębork – said the policewoman.
Aps. Szałkowska added that the woman was taken to hospital for examination and observation. – Only after that will it be possible to determine whether the incident will be classified as an accident or a collision. Until then, the 18-year-old is at the disposal of the police – she emphasized.
As she noted, the young driver received his driving license in May.
