Lech Sołuba has died. The actor died at the age of 76. He appeared in the cult “Miś” by Stanisław Bareja, in “Człowiek z żelaza” by Andrzej Wajda and in many popular series, such as “Plebania” or “Ranczo”.
The first to report the artist's death was FilmPolski.pl. The date of Lech Sołuba's death was given as September 18. Bidding farewell to the artist, the industry portal recalled several of his most popular performances, including a role in Stanisław Bareja's “Miś”. Sołuba appeared in the famous scene of the disappearance of sausages from the set of “The Last Sausage of Count Barry Kent”, saying that “those disappeared sausages will close our ranks even more”.

Lech Soluba is dead
Sołuba began his career in 1969 with the roles of Patient II and Spectator I in “Little Comedy” by Henryk Bardijewski, directed by Kazimierz Rudzki. In the years 1969-74 and 1980-83 he was a member of the ensemble of the Polish Theatre in Warsaw. Later he was also associated with the National Theatre and the Ochota Theatre in Warsaw. In total, he played almost 30 theatre roles. He also appeared in over 20 Television Theatre performances, and took part in 50 Polish Radio Theatre radio plays.
Lech Sołuba also has many film and TV series roles to his credit. One of the most memorable roles was in Bareja's “Miś”. He could also be seen in Andrzej Wajda's “Człowiek z żelaza”, Bohdan Poręba's “Katastrophe w Gibraltarzie” (1983), Jerzy Zalewski's “Historia Roja” or Andrzej Kondratiuk's “Hydrozagadka” (1970). He also often played supporting roles in popular TV series, such as “Kolumbowie”, “Czterdziestolatek”, “Noce i dnie”, “Tajemnica Enigma”, “Do krew ostatnia”, “Dom”, “Życie Kamila Kuranta”, “Pan na Żuławach”, “Ranczo” and “Plebania”.
His last role was as Władysław Gomułka in the film “Gierek” and in the series of the same title directed by Michał Węgrzyn. Apart from acting, Lech Sołuba was also involved in directing. He was the son of TV editor Iwona Sołubina, brother of actress Monika Sołubianka and nephew of actor Roman Kłosowski.
