Lech Wałęsa left the hospital after the shoulder surgery on Saturday and returned home – his closest associate Marek Kaczmar said on Saturday. The former president has been struggling with severe pain for a long time.

Wałęsa's closest collaborator reported on Saturday that “the boss has already returned home.” The operation took place in one of the clinics near Warsaw.

The day before, Marek Kaczmar announced that for a long time the former president was struggling with severe shoulder pain. He said that it was related to the injury he suffered many months ago.

– various attempts at conservative treatment were made, but they had no effect. The boss suffered a lot, he was rehabilitated. Unfortunately, surgical intervention was necessary. The operation took place on Thursday, under anesthesia – he said.

Wałęsa also informed about the operation in social media. On Thursday, he posted a photo on Facebook where you can see it in a hospital bed. “Thank God, it succeeded again …” – he wrote.
