Police officers from Łęczyca (Łódź Province) recovered a Yorkshire terrier bitch kidnapped from the yard. Lusia – because that is what the quadruped is called – was taken from her yard and found after four hours in the neighboring poviat. Theft of a dog is punishable by up to five years in prison.
The incident took place on Wednesday (July 7) in the Grabów commune. The policemen from the criminal department of the Łęczyca police have received the news that someone from one of the courtyards had kidnapped a four-year-old Yorkshire terrier bitch and left. – An animal that was in a closed property was lured to the fence. The perpetrator, using his trust, kidnapped the quadruped and drove away with him in the car – reports Mariusz Kowalski from the police in Łęczyca.
Lusia found in the neighboring poviat
The policemen identified the vehicle on which the perpetrator was moving. After four hours, they reached the area of one of the villages in the Poddębicki district. – Officers on the selected property found the kidnapped Lusia. The frightened animal was taken care of by its owners. The person who has probably kidnapped the animal will hear the charges of theft, he is facing up to five years in prison – Kowalski said.
In recent days, the District Police Headquarters in Łęczyca received thanks for the quick and effective explanation of the case of Lusia’s kidnapping, which was sent by the owners of the dog.
