Marc Gual – because that's who we're talking about – has been a Legia Warsaw player since last summer. The media reported on his transfer to the capital club several months before the official announcement, and the striker and his partner even watched the Legia Warsaw vs. Lech PoznaƄ match from the stands of the stadium on Ɓazienkowska Street. – That's the law of the market. We are aware of that. We are not financially ready to meet his expectations – said Ɓukasz MasƂowski, sports director of Jagiellonia BiaƂystok.

Watch the video Probierz says it straight. “These opinions were unfair. He wasn't on vacation”

– He is one of the best strikers in the league. This is proven not only by the number of goals he has scored, but also by his attitude, style of play, the way he moves around the pitch. He is a very aggressive player, has good dribbling, plays combinationally, and actively participates in pressing – added Kosta Runjaić, former Legia coach.

In the previous season, Gual competed for a place in the starting line-up with Blaz Kramer, Maciej RosoƂek and Tomas Pekhart, and in the new season, his competitors were joined by Jean-Pierre Nsame and Migouel Alfarela. Could this mean that Gual could leave Legia in the near future? There are interesting reports in the media.

Gual to return to Ukrainian league? He is on the wish list of a famous club

The sport.ua portal and the “Insides from Pasechnik 2.0” channel on Telegram are unanimous in reporting that Gual may continue his career in Ukraine. Dynamo Kyiv, which will compete for promotion to the Champions League league stage with Red Bull Salzburg at the stadium in Lublin on Wednesday, is interested in the Legia striker. However, Gual is not the only candidate on Dynamo's list, at least according to the aforementioned sources. For Gual, it would be a return to Ukraine after a two-year break, although he has not had the opportunity to debut in the Ukrainian league so far.

At the beginning of 2022, Gual signed a contract with SC Dnipro-1. Two months later, he was loaned to Jagiellonia BiaƂystok, where he played until the end of the 22/23 season. There, he became the league's top scorer with 15 goals, and then moved to Legia Warsaw without a transfer fee. “Gual signed a contract with Dnipro-1 in 2022, but did not have time to debut in the new team due to the outbreak of a full-scale war,” we read on the sport.ua portal.

Currently, Dynamo's squad includes three Ukrainian strikers: Vladislav Vanat, Vladislav Supriaha and Matvey Ponomarenko. Currently, Real Betis are among those interested in Wanat. However, the aforementioned sources do not say whether Gual would potentially replace Wanat or would be one of his competitors for a place in the starting lineup.

Before Legia, Jagiellonia and Dnipro-1, Gual represented clubs such as Alcorcon (2020-2022), Real Madrid Castilla (2020), Girona (2019-2020), Sevilla (2016-2020) and Real Zaragoza (2018-2019). Last season, Gual scored eleven goals and provided seven assists in 49 matches for Legia. After eight matches this season, he already has four goals, including a hat-trick against Caernarfon Town (6:0) in the Conference League qualifiers. Dynamo Kyiv is a 16-time Ukrainian champion.
