As Justyna Stopińska from the County Police Headquarters in Legionowo reported, the incident took place at ul. Zegrzyńska at night from Sunday to Monday. – The police noticed a Kawasaki motorbike driver who ignored traffic regulations and significantly exceeded the speed limit in the built-up area. The measuring device indicated that the motorcyclist was speeding as much as 211 kilometers per hour, where the speed limit is 50 – said Stopińska.
After being stopped, it turned out that the motorcycle was driven by a 30-year-old resident of the Legionowo poviat. – Due to the fact that the man refused to accept the ticket, the police asked the court to punish the 30-year-old – said a spokeswoman for the Legionnaire police. His driving license was also taken away.
Stopińska also reminds that, according to the new regulations, drivers who will exceed the speed limit by more than 50 kilometers per hour in a built-up area will have their driving license collected directly by the controlling officer. Then it will be sent to the competent starost, who – when issuing an administrative decision – will keep this document – for the first time for 3 months.
