Legnica. He saw a police car, panicked and roofed in a ditch

A 41-year-old Ukrainian citizen, driving at excessive speed, panicked at the sight of the police. He drove into a roadside ditch and roofed. He was drunk, he had over three per mille of alcohol in his body.

The incident occurred on Sunday after 17 o'clock, while securing the closure of voivodship road number 364 in connection with the neutralization of the refrigerated substance leakage. Officers of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Legnica marked a detour through the gas station in Wilczyce.

“During the actions of the Skoda vehicle, driving towards Złotoryja, did not adapt the speed to the prevailing traffic conditions. As a result, he lost control of the vehicle, drove into a roadside ditch, and then roofed” – says Legnica police.

Both the driver and the passenger were evacuated from the car. The officers gave them pre -medical first aid.

He was drunk

During the intervention, the uniform sensed a strong scent of alcohol from the driver. A breathalyzer test showed that the driver had over 3 per mille.

“A 41 -year -old Ukrainian citizen was detained by a driving license and a registration certificate. During the interview at the scene of the incident, the driver admitted that he panicked seeing the police car, and the speed of speed led to the loss of control over the car” – explains the police.

Now the 41-year-old will answer before the court. Drying in a state of intoxication is punishable by up to three years imprisonment.
