The 60-year-old Pomeranian resident who fell out of the wagon could not be saved. His horses probably got scared off. The case is being investigated by the police.
The tragic situation took place in Leśniewo near Puck. As sergeant Monika Mularska, the press officer of the District Police Headquarters in Puck informed us, the incident took place on Sunday morning.
– According to the accounts of witnesses, the man was on his property on the cart when the horses scared away and ran out onto the street. The man fell out and, unfortunately, the horses dragged him a few hundred meters under the cart – the policewoman is reporting. A doctor who was the first to provide assistance to the coachman until the arrival of the services was accidentally found nearby. Unfortunately, the 60-year-old man could not be saved.
They explain the causes of the tragedy
– An investigation team under the supervision of a prosecutor from the District Prosecutor’s Office in Puck, as well as a forensics technician and an expert doctor, worked on the spot – tells us the policewoman. Although everything points to an unfortunate accident, the policemen want to check the circumstances of the tragedy, including the reason for scaring the animals.
