– Another difficult period ahead of Małopolska. We monitor the situation. We know very well how difficult mountain floods are in our region, and as the situation in Krakow’s Bieżanów has shown – also urbanized areas had to deal with heavy rainfall. The services are on standby. The prognosis is not good. The rainfall should be a bit lighter in the coming hours, but we expect more. We are fully prepared for intensified activities – said the Małopolska Voivode.
Małopolska firefighters were called 135 times until the afternoon hours, mainly to pump out water from basements and flooded properties and to raise embankments.
