On Tuesday, rainfall will pass through Poland from west to east. Throughout the Lesser Poland Voivodeship, the fire brigade intervened 45 times in connection with them from morning to around noon.
Firefighters were most often called in the Krakow, Olkusz and Miechów counties, said Hubert Ciepły, spokesman for the Małopolska fire brigade.
As he explained, most of the work was related to clogged culverts, through which water collected in ditches and poured onto local roads, as well as flooded yards and entered basements and outbuildings. The firefighters’ actions consisted mainly of pumping out water.
