Passport points will be opened in Kraków, Tarnów and Nowy Sącz this Saturday. This is a response to the greater interest in foreign trips in the summer months.

The Passport Saturday is organized by the Małopolska Voivodship Office for the seventh time this year. Applications for a document entitling to travel abroad can be submitted between 8am and 2pm.

– May, June and July are the months when we observe the greatest interest in issuing passports. To meet the needs, this Saturday we are opening passport points in Krakow, Tarnów and Nowy Sącz. It will be the seventh Passport Saturday this year, informed the voivode of Lesser Poland, Łukasz Kmita.

Passport points open on Saturday are located at ul. st. Sebastiana 9 in Krakow, at al. Solidarności 5-9 in Tarnów and at ul. Jagiellońska 52 in Nowy Sącz.

Passport applications

During the last six such Saturdays, almost 5,000 people applied for a document or received it. In total, in 2023, the office accepted over 127,000. passport applications, 36 percent. of them in Krakow.

From 2007 to 2019 – that is, until the outbreak of the pandemic coronavirus in Poland – in May, June and July, nearly 600,000 applications were submitted in Małopolska. passport applications. That’s about 40 percent. all applications submitted during those 12 years.

The document is valid for five years from issue for a child up to 13 years of age and 10 years for a person over 13 years of age.

Passport applications can be submitted regardless of where you live.
