The red traffic lights were flashing and the toll booths were already falling. This, however, did not bother the driver from Leszno (Greater Poland Voivodeship). The man overtook the cars in front of the railroad crossing and ran to the other side. He was tracked down and fined by the police.
At the end of October, a recording from one of the drivers was sent to policemen from the Leszno traffic station. A camera installed in his car captured a dangerous situation at the railroad crossing on Święciechowska Street in Leszno.
He overtook and slipped through the tollbooths
The video from October 25 at 2:44 PM shows the closing gates at the guarded railroad crossing and the pulsating red lights on the signaling device. The driver of the car in which the camera is mounted stopped in front of the falling barriers. Then, in the left lane, a speeding Volkswagen, heading towards the city center, entered the crossing. Ignoring all the regulations and warning signals, he flashed under the lowered gates.
The policemen took care of the case. – The officers determined that the driver of the car was a 22-year-old resident of Leszno – informs Monika Żymełka, the press spokesman of the Municipal Police Headquarters in Leszno.
As he reports, the man has already been fined with the maximum amount of the fine for not complying with the traffic light. He will pay a fine of 500 zlotys for his behavior.
