The Commission for the Study of Russian Influences is being created to “make life of the opposition difficult, carry out a media lynching of key opposition figures and perhaps make it difficult to form a government of the current opposition after the elections,” said PO MEP Radosław Sikorski in “Kropka nad i” on TVN24 .

The bill establishing a commission to investigate Russian influence, dubbed “lex Tusk”, came into force last Wednesday. The president signed it, announcing at the same time that it would be sent to the Constitutional Tribunal in a subsequent procedure. A few days later, he submitted a draft amendment to the law.

PO MEP Radoslaw Sikorski he assessed that the commission was created to “make life of the opposition difficult, carry out a media lynching over key opposition figures and perhaps make it difficult to form a government of the current opposition after the elections.”

– The case has already been taken up by the European Commission, perhaps there will be some security decisions of the European courts – he noted. When asked what the EC could do, he replied that “he can bring it to CJEUand the tribunal may issue a protective order.

As Sikorski said, “National Reconstruction Plan is being blocked because the current government has tried to take one professional group – Polish judges – under their heels, and here they want to put under their heels politicians, journalists and any citizen.” – What they have now passed (ruling-ed.) is several times worse from what KPO blocks us – he added.
