In 2025, Lidl Polska will spend nearly PLN 200 million on wage increases and the creation of new jobs – the retail chain announced in a press release.
Lidl Polska currently employs nearly 29,000. employees. As stated in the announcement, the network still intends to systematically increase employment. Only from March to the end of October, the company employed over 2,000. people. In 2025, it plans to create new jobs – in stores, warehouses and the headquarters of Lidl Polska.
From January 2025, store employees will earn from PLN 5,250 gross to PLN 6,450 gross at the beginning of employment. However, in the case of the warehouse crew's salary after increases, it will range from PLN 5,500 gross to PLN 7,200 gross. In turn, store managers can count on remuneration ranging from PLN 7,850 gross.
The June announcement stated that from July 2024, store employees will earn from PLN 4,750 gross to PLN 5,700 gross at the beginning of employment. The salary of the warehouse crew ranges from PLN 5,200 gross to PLN 5,850 gross at the beginning of employment. In turn, store managers can count on remuneration ranging from PLN 7,400 gross.
The largest retail chains in Poland
The largest retail chain in Poland in terms of revenues in 2023 was Biedronka – Forbes magazine previously reported. Its owner, Jeronimo Martins, announced in December 2023 that over PLN 65,000. employees of the Biedronka chain in stores and distribution centers will receive higher remuneration by the amount of PLN 650 to 900 gross from January 1, 2024. There has been no announcement about pay increases in 2025 yet.
Lidl took second place in the ranking of leading retail companies in Poland in terms of revenue, followed by Eurocash, Dino and Żabka.
