The National Electoral Commission collects the results of local government elections from individual districts. The head of the National Electoral Commission, Sylwester Marciniak, announced how much data has already been received. He also provided partial information on turnout.

According to the exit poll conducted by Ipsos, Law and Justice won 33.7 percent of support throughout the country in the elections to the provincial assemblies, and the second-placed Civic Coalition received 31.9 percent of the votes. Third Droga also took the podium with 13.5 percent support. According to survey results, The Civic Coalition won three assemblies from PiS.

The National Electoral Commission organized a conference on Monday morning. The Chairman of the National Electoral Commission, Sylwester Marciniak, provided data on counting votes and entering data into the system.

– In the elections to the regional assemblies, data from 26,751 to 31,456 districts were entered, i.e. 85.06 percent,

– In elections to district councils: 20,325 out of 24,705 districts, i.e 82.27 percent,

– In elections to commune, town and city councils: 30,602 out of 31,456 districts, i.e. 97.29 percent,

– In the elections of communes, mayors and presidents – 30,641 out of 31,456 districts, i.e. 97.41 percent,

– In the elections to Warsaw district councils – 758 out of 847 districts, i.e 89.49 percent.

Partial data presented by the National Electoral Commission shows that turnout in yesterday's elections was 51.33 percent.

The head of the National Electoral Commission noted that the data presented comes from 9:22 a.m. and “the situation is dynamic.” As Marciniak said, “when it comes to territorial commissions, i.e. municipal, poviat and voivodeship commissions, over 27,000 people are currently involved in the electoral process (vote counting – ed.).” – However, over 260,000 people worked and still work in regional commissions – he added.

The head of the National Electoral Office, Magdalena Pietrzak, said that the official election results will be known when data from all commissions in the country are received and there are 100 percent protocols. – We know from the example of all previous elections that one committee can stop the whole thing – she added.

The next NEC conference is to be held on Monday at 5.30 p.m.
