Election silence

The election silence began 24 hours before voting day and will last until its end. In strictly defined cases, it may be extended, e.g. flood, flooding of a polling station, construction or transport disaster or the need to print additional ballots. These are obstacles that hinder or paralyze the work of the district electoral commission and exclude or seriously limit voters' access to the polling station.

During the election silence period, canvassing for specific candidates is prohibited. It is not allowed to display posters, hand out leaflets or organize meetings related to the elections. This may result in a fine ranging from PLN 50 to PLN 5,000. PLN, its amount is determined by the court.

It is also prohibited to canvass on the Internet, and displaying symbols, signs and inscriptions associated with candidates and election committees is prohibited in polling stations.

On Sunday, the second round of voting will include, among others: in 60 presidential cities, including 9 provincial cities: Gorzów Wielkopolski, Kielce, Kraków, Olsztyn, Poznań, Rzeszów, Toruń, Wrocław and Zielona Góra.
