Local elections are underway, in which Poles choose representatives of local authorities. Polling stations are open from 7:00 a.m. Until what time can you vote?

Local elections are held on Sunday, April 7. In the vote, Poles elect councilors of municipalities, counties, voivodeship assemblies, commune heads, mayors and city presidents, and in the case of Warsaw, also district councilors. From midnight Friday to Saturday, election silence will last until the end of voting on Sunday.

Polling stations opened on Sunday at 7:00. If the election silence is not extended, they will be closed at 9:00 p.m. If a voter gets in line before this time but does not manage to cast his vote, he will also be able to vote after this time. 9:00 p.m.

The electoral silence may be extended in special circumstances, due to extraordinary events, e.g. flood or construction disaster. Then the voting itself would also be extended.

We would like to remind you that during the election silence, it is prohibited to conduct electioneering, i.e. “publicly persuading or encouraging people to vote in a specific way, in particular to vote for the candidate of a specific election committee”.
