How many ballots will you receive?

How many ballots a voter receives depends on where he or she lives. In the first round, most voters will receive four cards. Residents of cities with county rights, where no county council is elected, will receive one card less. The exception is Warsaw, where – even though the district council is not elected – voters will still receive four cards. In addition to the city mayor, the city council and the provincial assembly, they will also elect district councilors.

Importantly, each card must bear the seals of the district electoral commission and the territorial electoral commission.

How to cast a valid vote in the elections?

To cast an important vote, Please put an “X” in the box next to the candidate's name on each card you receive. Failure to mark “X” or marking other than “X” will result in an invalid vote. All marks and strikethroughs will be treated as additions that do not affect the validity of the vote.

In the elections of councilors in a commune with a population of over 20,000. inhabitants and in elections to district councils, voivodeship assemblies and district councils in Warsaw, the voter votes only for one list of candidates by placing an “X” in the box on the left side next to the name of one of the candidates from this list, which indicates his priority to obtain a mandate. If an “X” is placed in the box on the left side next to the names of two or more candidates, but from the same list, the vote is considered valid and cast for the indicated list, with priority for obtaining a mandate being given to the candidate with the “X” next to his name. ” is placed first.
