This is a loss of over seven million, a specific deficit in our budget – this is how mayor Marta Majewska spoke about the impact of the Polish Order on the budget of Hrubieszów in the program “One for One”. She admitted that the compensation did not cover even half of this amount. Meanwhile, on Friday, during the 2nd Congress of Small and Medium-sized Cities in Chemie, the Prime Minister stated that “there has never been more money from the central budget for local government investments than in the times of the Law and Justice government.”
Agata Adamek’s guest in “One on One” on TVN24 was Marta Majewska, the mayor of Hrubieszów on Friday, who was asked about the impact on her city’s budget Polish Order. – This is a loss of over seven million, a specific deficit in our budget – she replied.
– The amount of compensation, absolutely too small in our opinion and not meeting our expectations, is 2.8 million. A large disproportion, these are the facts and these are the figures, which of course means that we have to incur new bond liabilities in this difficult situation. A new financial perspective is ahead of us. We need money for own contributions For future projects that we want to implement, we cannot go back further than now, when we lost due to the geopolitical situation – she assessed.
Morawiecki on investments as part of the Polish Deal
– I think that as each of the inhabitants of a small town and a little larger one will ask their mayor or president, as each resident of the local government will ask their commune head or starost about investments in local governments, you will hear one thing. I am convinced of it – he noted, explaining that “there has never been more money from the central budget for local government investments than in the times of the Law and Justice government.”
– I want to emphasize how important it is to appreciate our process of repairing public finances – he added.
– Because the fact that we allocated unprecedented amounts of money to public investments in local governments did not come out of nowhere. Several dozen billion zlotys in investment as part of the Polish Deal. Several billion zlotys under the government local investment fund. Several dozen billion zlotys in other programs financed only from the Polish state budget – he mentioned.
