The Łódź police announced on Friday that they had arrested the man responsible for the entry on the Internet. The 40-year-old allegedly threatened to commit a serious crime during the National Independence Day celebrations.
While monitoring internet content regarding Saturday’s National Independence Day celebrations, the police noticed a disturbing entry on a popular website.
– This post was a threat and an announcement of committing a crime during the celebration of November 11 – confirmed comm. Edyta Machnik from the press office of the Provincial Police Headquarters in Łódź.
A 40-year-old man was arrested
– This person declared that he would do something that constitutes a prohibited act – emphasized the policewoman. – There was a suggestion that this person might commit a criminal act during the Independence Day celebration on November 11 – she noted.
– Joint actions of police officers from the Criminal Department of the Provincial Headquarters in Łódź and the Department for Combating Criminal Terror and Homicides of the Capital Police Headquarters ended with the arrest of a 40-year-old man in Łódź – said Chief Machnik. – We cannot provide more details about this case now – she concluded.
