– It started with children who, for various reasons, are not with their biological families, are in orphanages, in foster families, and we accept these children here permanently. All offices are equipped to be child-friendly. – We accept children here, sometimes very small. It seems that if a child does not speak, he will not reveal anything to us. That’s not true, his body can tell us a lot, which is why we also have physiotherapy workshops, work with a neurologist, sometimes hard experiences cause a child to stop talking – she explained.

With the growing scale of children’s problems, there is a shortage of therapists

Aleksandra Marciniak admitted on TVN24 that the scale of children’s problems is growing year by year and there is a shortage of psychotherapists. – Experts estimate that up to 7,000 children a month try to commit suicide. There are not enough therapists. Of course, the second issue is money, because this work deserves a decent wage. We operate thanks to the fact that the city of Łódź subsidizes therapy for children from foster families, but we receive a lot of money, almost half a million, from our donors – stressed Marciniak.
