A dangerous-looking collision at the intersection of Aleksandrowska and Rojna streets in Łódź. A woman turning left lost control of her vehicle and hit a car waiting for the traffic lights head-on. No one was injured in the incident, but the vehicle was seriously damaged and is no longer suitable for driving.
The incident took place on September 12 before noon at the intersection of Aleksandrowska and Rojna streets in Łódź. The recording we received shows a woman turning onto Rojna Street hitting another vehicle waiting for the traffic lights to change head-on.
– I stopped at the traffic light on Rojna Street and waited for the green light. Suddenly I saw a car approaching from the right along Szczecińska Street, which, probably at too high a speed, turned into Rojna Street. The woman failed to control the steering wheel and unfortunately drove straight into my lane, hitting my car with force. The car is heavily damaged and is no longer suitable for driving. Fortunately, no one was seriously hurt – describes the event by Mr. Jacek, who sent us a recording showing what happened at the intersection.

We asked the Road Traffic Department of the City Police Headquarters in Łódź to comment on the incident. – The driver of the Suzuki did not adjust the speed during the turning maneuver and lost control of the car, leading to a collision with a vehicle stopped at a red light – says Jadwiga Czyż, a junior trainee from the Łódź traffic police. He adds: – This type of road accident may result in a fine ranging from PLN 1,020 to even PLN 5,000 and penalty points.
