A 22-year-old stopped by drivers at Aleja Włókniarzy in Łódź had more than four per mille of alcohol in his exhaled air. According to the police, the man blocked other people’s path and blocked traffic. – And here the policemen were surprised when they tested the man’s sobriety. The breathalyzer lacked a scale, says a spokeswoman for the Łódź traffic police.

The incident took place at the intersection of one of the main streets in Łódź – Aleja Włókniarzy and Drewnowska Street, between two necropolises in Łódź: the cemetery in Mania and the Old Cemetery. The police were called by drivers who stopped a completely drunk driver.

– The 22-year-old was driving along Włókniarzy Avenue, blocking other drivers, crossing all lanes and blocking the road. Therefore, the drivers ran out of their cars, stopped the man and smelled a strong odor of alcohol from him – reports the junior asp. Jadwiga Czyż from the Łódź traffic police.

As it later turned out, the man had over four per mille of alcohol in his exhaled air, says the policewoman. The 22-year-old was arrested and after sobering up, he will be questioned and charged. The police took his driving license.
