Łódź. The car hit a parked truck. Monitoring recording

The driver of the passenger car in Łódź slipped and hit the parked truck, from which fuel leaked, paralyzing the connection to the highway. The event was recorded by a monitoring camera on one of the private properties. The driver and passenger escaped, but they were already detained.

We received information about the event on contact24. Mr. Krzysztof, one of the residents of Brzezińska Street in Łódź, sent us a recording, which shows a collision of a passenger car with a parked truck.

Residents were awakened by a bang

– Before 4 am, a bang woke us up. We went outside and saw a broken car and a scene that can be seen in the pictures. I live right next to it, so I went to check my monitoring and it turned out that the moment of the accident was also recorded – Mr. Krzysztof told us.

The video shows that the passenger Dacia slipped in a light bend, then pulled into the opposite lane and eventually hit a truck parked at the road. Mr. Krzysztof explained that the place where the truck stood is not a parking place. “This is a normal green belt, so she shouldn't stand there, but it looks as if the driver stopped at a stop and went to sleep,” he said.

The author of the recording explained that Brzezińska Street is an away road to the highway. For many hours the street was completely blocked. It turned out that the car unfortunately hit the truck fuel tank, from which fuel leaked, flooding the street. Therefore, the substance was neutralized.

The driver and passenger escaped

The younger aspirant Maksymilian Jasiak from the Municipal Police Headquarters in Łódź informed us that when the police arrived, there was no one in the car. The driver escaped.

– Two men aged 24 and 42 have already been detained in this matter. One of them was a driver and the other passenger, but for now we do not know who was sitting behind the wheel. Both at the time of detention were intoxicated – said young asp. Jasiak.

The men were taken to the hospital for blood tests, which are to allow them to determine whether they were under the influence of alcohol at the time of the event.

Brzezińska Street was blocked for many hours. It was cleared around 12 o'clock.
