Police officers from the Łódź traffic police stopped a motorcyclist who was riding through the city barefoot and without a helmet. Additionally, the man did not have a driving license. According to the police, the motorcyclist decorated the handlebar with bird feathers and installed a Bluetooth speaker to hear music more clearly while riding. During the inspection, he explained that he had “this style of being”.
According to junior aspirant Jadwiga Czyż from the Road Traffic Department of the City Police Headquarters in Łódź, the motorcyclist was detained on October 5 on Pabianicka Street.
– There would be nothing strange about it, if not for the fact that the man was traveling without the required helmet. Besides, he rode barefoot. The officers, knowing how important the safety of two-wheeler users is, decided to stop the motorcyclist for a road check – says Czyż.
He was driving without a license and had bird feathers and a loudspeaker on the steering wheel
The policewoman also informs that the man was riding a motorcycle without a license.
– During a check in the police databases, it turned out that the 34-year-old has two active driving bans, which are valid until August 9, 2024. A sobriety test showed that the man was sober. During the inspection, one of the officers noticed that the motorcyclist had decorated the handlebar with bird feathers and attached a Bluetooth speaker so that he could hear music more clearly while riding. When asked about this state of affairs, the motorcyclist said that he had this style of being – describes Jadwiga Czyż.
A 34-year-old man will appear in court for riding a motorcycle despite a court ban and driving without a required helmet. He faces a lifetime driving ban and up to five years in prison.
