Lomza. The police arrested a woman who vandalized a hotel room

A 40-year-old woman who demolished a hotel room in Łomża (Podlaskie Voivodeship) faces up to five years in prison. The woman damaged the bathroom door, stained the carpet, mattress and walls. She was charged with destruction of property. At the time of the arrest, she was completely drunk, she had nearly three times the legal limit of alcohol.

On Wednesday (May 10), before 6 p.m., the police received a report that in one of the hotels in Łomża, a hotel guest destroyed a room and its equipment.

As senior aspirant Karolina Wojciekian from the Municipal Police Headquarters in Łomża reported, uniforms found a completely drunk woman in the place indicated by the owner.

The 40-year-old came from Norwayto pass the driving test in Łomża. The woman had consumed only alcohol throughout her stay at the hotel. As she claimed, this was how she wanted to relieve her problems, but she was unable to explain to the policemen why she had destroyed the room – the uniformed officer reported.

According to the officer, the 40-year-old woman damaged the bathroom door, stained the floor covering, towels and bedding. – She smeared the bed mattress and walls with faeces. The hotel owner estimated the loss at PLN 4,000, she said.

At the time of the arrest, the 40-year-old had nearly three times the legal limit of alcohol in her body.

On Thursday, the woman was charged with destruction of property. For this crime, the Penal Code provides for a penalty of up to five years in prison.
