Kevin Spacey appeared in a London court for the first time on Wednesday morning in connection with his sexual assault trial, Reuters reported. The actor has pleaded not guilty and is facing life imprisonment.

Kevin Spacey’s sexual assault allegations were originally scheduled to begin on Wednesday. As reported by Reuters, the 63-year-old actor was wearing a navy blue suit with a pink tie during the trial and “watched closely” the swearing-in of the jurors.

The actual start of the trial, however, was finally postponed to Friday, when the prosecutor’s office will formally begin proceedings against the actor. Spacey is accused of to engage in sexual intercourse without the other person’s consent. He has pleaded not guilty to the charges against him. The process is estimated to take 3-4 weeks. If found guilty, the actor could face up to life imprisonment.
