On Friday afternoon, the waiting times of trucks for clearance on the Polish side of the border before the border crossings with Belarus in Bobrowniki and Kuźnica (Podlaskie) were extended to 21 hours. Buffer zones for waiting trucks have been introduced.
Alert warnings about the introduction of buffers were sent on Friday afternoon in a message via the mobile application of the Regional Warning System. Announcements are valid until 9.00 am on Saturday.
It was reported that the second buffer zone in front of Bobrowniki begins at the level of Waliły Stacja, and trucks will be systematically released to the first zone. It was reported that currently trucks are standing in front of Bobrowniki in a 14-kilometer long queue. The buffer before Kuźnica starts in Sokółka. There, too, trucks are standing in a 14 km line.
The information obtained from the Podlasie National Tax Administration shows that the queue is related to IT problems that the Belarusian side has at those crossings where trucks are cleared.
