Glider accident near the airport in Krosno (Podkarpackie Voivodeship). The 37-year-old had to make an emergency landing due to loss of altitude. The man was taken to hospital for observation.
The services received the notification on Monday (September 11) around 7 p.m. – Preliminary findings show that the 37-year-old pilot of the glider was forced to make an emergency landing due to loss of altitude – said the deputy commissioner. Paweł Buczyński from the Municipal Police Headquarters in Krosno.
He added that after landing, the man left the glider cabin on his own, but due to his injuries he was transported to hospital. However, his life is not in any danger.

– The 37-year-old was sober. The State Commission for the Investigation of Aircraft Accidents was informed about the incident, the policeman emphasized.
5 fire brigades worked on site. According to firefighters, the glider landed outside the airport in the bushes. Firefighters helped the pilot get out of the cabin, and then he was handed over to doctors.
