Police officers from Rzeszów (Podkarpackie Voivodeship) detained three men as part of the investigation, which concerns the violation of the ban on the distribution of drugs under the so-called “reverse drug distribution chain”. The detainees were charged with violating the ban on distributing drugs in a direction other than to the patient and fraud.

According to the Podkarpackie police, as part of the revealed procedure of “reversing the classic drug distribution chain”, investigators found that a pharmacy chain operating in the Podkarpackie, Małopolskie and Świętokrzyskie voivodships obtained medicinal products worth at least PLN 3.5 million from the retail market, which were not sold to patients, but to entities further trading them, in this case wholesalers, which directly violated the provisions of law.

The suspects are three men aged 51, 47 and 43, who – according to the police – have made this practice a regular source of income. They are all residents of the Podkarpackie Voivodeship. Two of them also run their business outside our voivodeship.
