LOT and Ryanair compete on the Kraków – Olsztyn-Mazury route. The cruise will take about an hour

LOT Polish Airlines will offer connections between the Olsztyn-Mazury airport and Krakow also in the summer season. From next Sunday, flights on this route will also be launched by Ryanair. Wizz Air will also be present at the Olsztyn-Mazury airport in the summer season.

Olsztyn-Mazury Airport informed that from March 26 this year. the flight schedule changes from winter to summer. This year’s summer network of connections includes 5 destinations served by 3 airlines.

The rivalry between PLL LOT and Ryanair on the domestic route

They are in this group LOT Polish Airlines. As emphasized, the year-round connection connecting Warmia and Mazury with Małopolska will also be available in the summer season. From March 27, flights on this route will be operated on Mondays and Fridays. “The 60-minute flights on this route are carried out with Embraer 175 aircraft, which can carry 82 passengers,” the release reads.

The competition for passengers on this route will also be joined by Ryanair, which will inaugurate connections between the port of Olsztyn-Mazury and Krakow from Sunday, March 26. Flights will be operated three times a week – on Tuesdays, Thursdays and Sundays.

In practice, this means that during the summer season on the Olsztyn-Mazury – Kraków route, you will be able to fly on Mondays, Tuesdays, Thursdays, Fridays and Sundays.

The Irish carrier will also offer another domestic route from the port located in the Warmian-Masurian Voivodship – to Wrocław. Flights from/to the capital of Lower Silesia will be operated on Fridays and Sundays. In the summer season, the Olsztyn-Mazury – London Stansted connection will also be available.

In addition, Hungarian Wizz Air will be present at the Olsztyn-Mazury airport. Wizz Air will operate its year-round services from/to Dortmund and London Luton on Tuesdays and Saturdays.

Wiktor Wójcik, President of the Management Board of Warmia i Mazury Sp. z o. o. managing the Olsztyn-Mazury Airport assessed that “the spring-summer network of connections at the Olsztyn-Mazury Airport gives the opportunity to plan a weekend trip or a longer holiday in Poland and abroad”.

“I am convinced that it will benefit both the inhabitants of Warmia and Mazury and Podlasie, as well as tourists looking for an alternative to a long-hour journey by car or train from the south to the north-east of Poland” – said Wiktor Wójcik, quoted in the release.
