LOT Polish Airlines decided to change the summer flight network – the carrier informed TVN24 Biznes. The decision is to “reduce operational risks in the peak summer season”. Modifications apply to several routes, including to Amsterdam, Milan and Hamburg.

In recent weeks, airlines across Europe have been struggling with serious staffing problems, which forced them to cancel flights.

During the pandemic, when air traffic decreased significantly due to travel restrictions, employment was also reduced, especially among ground staff, and now that the demand for flying has returned to pre-pandemic levels, it has turned out that airports are lacking in staff for baggage handling, security, security or cleaning and the airlines are not able to perform all scheduled flights.
