Two residents of the Zamość district, aged 18 and 30, will answer for an attempt to extort a robbery on a 14-year-old. The men were to lure the boy out of the school in Zamość and demand money from him. One of the attackers allegedly threatened the boy with a knife.

The incident took place last Friday (March 17) in Zamość. According to Dorota Krukowska-Bubiło, the press officer of the Zamość City Headquarters, two men came in front of one of the primary schools and lured the 14-year-old outside, then demanded money from him.

– When the juvenile said he had no cash, they told him to bring the money at a certain time. One of the attackers had a knife in his hand as he made the demand. After the incident, the 14-year-old went away, police said.

Two 18-year-olds saw the incident and called for help

The situation was noticed by two 18-year-olds passing by, who immediately notified their teacher from a nearby secondary school, who immediately notified the City Guard in Zamość. – The guards caught the attackers and then informed the police. The police took the detainees to the police station and put them in jail. During the search, the officers found a knife with a folding blade in one of them, says Dorota Krukowska-Bubiło, a staff officer.

The detainees are an 18-year-old from Zamość and a 30-year-old resident of the Nielisz commune. According to the officer, the younger one was sober, while the older one was intoxicated. Investigators also reached the 14-year-old and clarified the details of the incident.

On Sunday (March 19), interrogations of the detainees took place at the District Prosecutor’s Office in Zamość. – The evidence collected by the investigators allowed them to present charges. They will answer for the fact that, acting jointly and in agreement in order to achieve financial gain, they threatened a 14-year-old boy and tried to commit a robbery extortion crime on a minor, the press officer reports.

By the prosecutor’s decision, the 18-year-old and the 30-year-old were placed under police supervision, and they were also banned from approaching the victim. They are punishable by up to 10 years in prison.
