It was not possible to save a 47-year-old woman who was hit by a van on the promenade in Lublin. According to the police, the driver did not see the pedestrian while reversing.
The accident happened on Wednesday around 8 am in Krakowskie Przedmieście in Lublin.
“Preliminary findings of the police officers working on the spot show that a 47-year-old woman was walking along the promenade towards the Krakowska Gate. The driver of the delivery bus was reversing in the opposite direction, who hit a resident of Lublin with the back of the vehicle” – informs in the message Superintendent Kamil Gołębiowski from the Municipal Police Headquarters in Lublin .
She was hospitalized and did not survive
The woman was transported to the hospital in serious condition.

“Unfortunately, despite medical help, it was not possible to save her life. The 25-year-old was sober” – informs Gołębiowski.
Police officers, a prosecutor and an expert are working on the spot. Specialists conduct an inspection and explain the exact causes and circumstances of the event.
