Prince Guillaume of Luxembourg and his wife Princess Stéphanie welcomed their second son, François, into the world on Monday. Yesterday they left the hospital. The first photos of the little prince appeared on the family’s official social media channels.

On the official Instagram profile of the Palace of the Grand Dukes of Luxembourg, the first portraits of the newborn Prince François were published on Wednesday. “The princess and the prince are delighted to share the first photos of Prince François. They are deeply grateful for the kind messages they have received in connection with the birth of their second child,” it was written under the photo.

Prince François is third in line to the throne

Prince François was born on Monday at Maternité Grande-Duchesse Charlotte Hospital. He is the second child of Prince Guillaume, 41, and Princess Stéphanie, 39. The couple also has a 2-year-old son, Prince Charles. François is third in line to the throne – after his father and brother.

There is a castle in Fischbach, which is the private residence of the princely family.

– It is always a very happy moment when such an event takes place in the family. The birth of Prince François went well and his mother is doing well. It is a great joy for us to be able to hold this tiny baby in our arms. He is so cute. It really is one of the most beautiful moments a family can experience,” said Prince Guillaume in a short video posted on Twitter by the Grand Ducal Palace.
