Volodymyr Klitschko, who received the award on Thursday, is one of the most famous and influential voices in Ukraine. He abandoned his life as a successful entrepreneur and trainer in Germany at the start of the Russian invasion and has been fighting for independence, democracy and freedom in his homeland ever since, emphasized the organizers of the M100 Media Award. It uses its international contacts to tirelessly lobby political and business leaders around the world to support Ukraine. He stands by his people together with his brother Vitaly, mayor of Kiev, who received the M100 Media Award in 2014 as a representative of all democratic movements in Ukraine.
