He can afford, let him pay for these apartments and let's finally deal with it – said on Wednesday in “Facts after facts” the candidate of the new left in the presidential election Magdalena Biejat. In this way, Deputy Marshal of the Senate referred to the case of Karol Nawrocki's use of an apartment in a museum hotel complex when he was the director of the Museum of World War II.
On January 20, “Gazeta Wyborcza” revealed that Nawrocki as the director of the Museum of the Second World War for over half a year used the Deluxe apartment free of charge in the museum hotel complexalthough he lives only five kilometers from him. “Wyborcza” estimated that “in a total of 2018-20 Nawrocki reserved 19 stays, and in the period 2020-21 as much as 182”. “Together it is 201 days, including 197 in the apartment,” added the daily.
“GW” writes that Nawrocki at a time when he was the director of the Museum of World War II, “he did not pay for a hotel stay or a penny”. “With a maximum discount (80 percent), the” employee “price would be about PLN 25.6 thousand for all reservations, and with a discount of 40 percent – PLN 51.2 thousand. Commercially – over PLN 120,000” – calculated journalists “GW”.
“He has this advice for free from me”
– Of course he should pay for him. He should pay as much as you should. He can afford it, let him pay for these apartments and let's finally deal with it – Magdalena Biejat, the candidate of the new left in the presidential election, said in “Facts after Facts”. She added that “it is outrageous that we must comment on the next adventures of Mr. Nawrocki today.”
According to the deputy marshal of the Senate Nawrocki “he should do it once and well.” – It would also serve him himself, I advise him well. He has this advice from me for free – she said. She suggested that instead of “Apartments of Mr. Nawrocki” deal with “specific problems”.
– The crisis on the housing market, problems with access to health protection, the situation of demographic collapse with us in Poland – she calculated. In her opinion, “there are problems that should resound in the campaign, not that Mr. Nawrocki once again used public funds in one way or another.”
