In Małdyty (Warmian-Masurian Voivodeship), a bus driver lost control of the car and hit parents with a 5-year-old child – reported the police in Ostróda. The driver was banned from driving.

The accident occurred on Monday in Małdyty. Sgt. Paulina Śliwińska from the District Police Headquarters in Ostróda reported that a 27-year-old man driving a Fiat bus on a straight section of the road lost control of the vehicle, hit a tree, drove into the opposite lane and drove onto the sidewalk, where he hit a family with a 5-year-old child.

The boy was transported by helicopter, and the parents by ambulance to the hospital.

He was banned from driving

The bus driver smelled of alcohol. The man refused a breathalyzer test. The police took him to hospital for a blood test.

A 27-year-old from the Małdyty commune should not get behind the wheel at all, because he was banned from driving for drunk driving.
