In Małszyce (Kuyavian-Pomeranian Voivodeship), a balloon carrying 15 people hit a power line and knocked over two poles. Nothing happened to anyone. The police under the supervision of the prosecutor explain what happened.

The incident happened on Thursday (July 13) late in the evening. During the flight, the balloon hit a medium-voltage power line, causing the two concrete poles supporting it to collapse. The wires of the medium-voltage line and the low-voltage line branching off it, supplying one of the farms, were broken.

The pilot managed to fly about a kilometer and land. Nobody was injured.

Brigadier Dawid Tarkowski from the Poviat Headquarters of the State Fire Service in Golub-Dobrzyń noted that the balloon was flying over the area and had no designated landing site nearby. Four fire engines from the State Fire Service and the Volunteer Fire Brigade arrived at the scene.

The case is now being investigated by the police under the supervision of the prosecutor. The power lines were secured.
