Manchester. Court: The Pole killed and quartered the corpse of his roommate

Marcin Majerkiewicz, who came from Poland, is guilty of killing and quartered the corpse of his roommate – the court in Manchester ruled. The prosecutor's office described this as a “barbaric crime”. Then – according to the prosecutor's announcement – the man tried to hide his “barbaric crime”. He sent messages to Everett's relatives from the victim's phone, arguing that he was in the hospital because of the stroke. He even sent a birthday card to his brother to give the impression that the man was alive.

According to the BBC, some of the remains of the 67 -year -old – a torso wrapped in cling film – was discovered by an outsidette in an abandoned bunker in the nature reserve in Salford in April 2024. Then the investigation was initiated. Later, the remains of the murdered were found in five other places.

Unknown motif

According to the BBC, Majerkiewicz and Everett from Poland – born in the family of Polish emigrants – have lived in one apartment in Salford since 2017. They shared them with another man.

Majerkiewicz pleaded not guilty that he had a murder on March 27-28, 2024. The BBC reports that the investigative team “has not confirmed any clear theme.”

The police from Manchesreu, however, reported that the convict was obsessed with blood and macabre horror movies, as well as a tattoo depicting the figure of Jason Voorhees from the movie “Friday the thirteenth”. The police also pointed out that he had financial and debts.

In the investigation, it was found that he worked as the head of fast service in Trafford Center in Stretford, but at the time of committing the murder he was unemployed and had a debts of about 60,000. pounds (about PLN 300,000). Before arrest, Majerkiewicz was looking for real estate for rent in the Alicante region in the internet Spain.

During the hearing, the judge informed the accused that the law provides for a life sentence for him. On March 28, the court is to decide when the convict will be able to apply for conditional dismissal.
