The car was driving – through the village of Studzienice near Pszczyna (Śląskie Voivodeship) – in a snake, therefore the witness notified the police. Traffic officers examined the driver and his wife sitting next to him. He had 1.5 per mille of alcohol in his body, she had more than twice as much. In the rear, children aged 6, 8 and 10 sat without seats.
On Saturday, September 25, a witness alerted the police in Pszczyna that the Audi driver was moving suspiciously. – He was riding a snake – says Jadwiga Śmietana, a spokeswoman for the Pszczyna police.
Police officers from the road traffic department stopped an Audi in the village of Studzienice. A family of five was returning home by car. Parents were tested with a breathalyzer. The 36-year-old driver had 1.5 per mille of alcohol in the body, and the wife sitting next to it – over three per mille.
– There were three children aged 6, 8 and 10 in the back of the car – Śmietana is enumerating. They did not have child seats required for transporting children.
Drunken father behind the wheel did not have a driving license
After checking in the police IT systems, the police found that the driver did not have a driving license and the Audi did not have a compulsory third party liability insurance.
The 36-year-old was detained and his wife was brought to her place of residence. The children were taken care of by their grandfather.
The court will decide about the fate of the man. He faces up to five years in prison for the crimes committed. The policewoman does not rule out that the passenger, the mother of the children, will also suffer the consequences. – There was no sober guardian who would take care of the children. This is a fresh issue, the activities are ongoing – explains the spokeswoman.
